The right stabilizer, thread, and needle - every time.

Fabric, use case, and technique together decide the right stabilizer, thread, and needle. Getting one wrong can show up as puckering, shifting, or broken thread.

The wrong stabilizer ruins the stitch-out, not the design.

That knowledge is scattered across charts, forum threads, and trial and error. Beginners can stall before the fun part, while experienced stitchers still have to second-guess unfamiliar fabrics.

A failed stitch-out costs thread, stabilizer, fabric, and time before the actual project has even started.

Threadwise turns those three choices into a recommended stabilizer, thread, and needle for the project you described.

Three choices in, a full setup out.

  1. Pick your fabric.

Choose the fabric type you are stitching on.

  2. Pick use case and technique.

Tell Threadwise what the piece is for and how you are stitching it.

  3. Read your setup.

Get the recommended stabilizer, thread, and needle together, plus a contextual pro tip and inspiration.

Built for the person at the machine.

A complete setup, not a hint.

Every recommendation names the stabilizer, thread, and needle together, with a pro tip for the tricky part.

Deterministic and offline.

The same three inputs produce the same setup, with no network required.

Threadwise questions.

What does a Threadwise recommendation include?

Each recommendation brings the stabilizer, thread, and needle together for the project you described. It also includes a contextual pro tip and an inspiration card. The result is one coordinated starting setup rather than a single material suggestion that leaves the other choices unresolved.

How does Threadwise decide the setup?

Threadwise maps your fabric, use case, and technique to a setup on-device. The mapping is deterministic: the same three choices return the same recommendation. It does not need a network request, account, or remote service to decide which stabilizer, thread, and needle to show.

Does Threadwise work offline?

Yes. Recommendations run fully on your iPhone and do not need a network connection. You can choose the project inputs and read the stabilizer, thread, needle, and pro tip wherever you are working. The same inputs return the same setup whether or not you are online.

Does Threadwise collect any of my data?

No. Threadwise has no account, advertising, or tracking. Your choices and recommendations stay on the device because the app does not need a backend to calculate a setup. There is no profile to create and no project information to send to a server.

Is Threadwise for beginners or experienced stitchers?

Both. It gives beginners one place to start instead of a stack of charts or forum threads. It also helps experienced stitchers check unfamiliar combinations of fabric, use case, and technique before committing thread, stabilizer, fabric, and time to a stitch-out.

A great stitch-out starts with the right setup.
